Palm Pre GPS will need data services
Navgadget.com reported that Palm Pre GPS services will need a data services at additional cost (also stated in the official press release).
This means, you need more cost to use the GPS, much more like AGPS services found in other phone (some Nokia and Sony Ericsson phone GPS feature also need a data services to use).
The GPS software in US version Palm Pre will use “Sprint Navigation” developed by telenav.
If you live in the US, Sprint indeed offer you various data plan with GPS service included. Check Sprint website before you decided to use it.
